Head of Department of Chinese Language and Literature elected as Fellow of Royal Historical Society


Professor YANG Ruowei, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (RHS) in recognition of her contribution to historical scholarship. Professor YANG's research in Modern Chinese, Chinese Historical Linguistics, Chinese Education, History, Northeast Asian History and Culture, and History of Khitan-Liao produces a significant impact on academia and the wider community. Founded in 1868, the RHS is a successful learned society, membership organisation and charity with a 150-year history. Today, the RHS is the UK’s foremost society working for historians and history. In 2022 over 5000 historians belong and contribute to the Society — as fellows and members active worldwide.
