Business, Economic and Public Policy Research Centre
BEPP is committed to examining developments in business, the economy, and public policy in Hong Kong and related regions. Our research spans a wide array of areas—from family dynamics to Hong Kong’s historical evolution and other critical social dimensions tied to public policy.
Our mission is to analyze the overarching patterns of transformation and key challenges shaping Hong Kong society since 1997. By collaborating with businesses, civil society organizations, government bodies, and other stakeholders, we strive to develop a locally grounded theoretical and policy framework. This framework enables us to evaluate how different policies impact Hong Kong’s society, economy, families, and historical identity—and to provide forward-looking insights for public and private institutions, as well as the broader community.
