Professor Selina Ching Chan, Academic Vice President and Professor from the Department of Sociology, embarked on a dedicated research journey on the cultural significance of Yulan Festival in 2012.  The creations of the "Virtual Museum" and "Virtual Tour" are pioneering effort to achieve digital humanities and knowledge transfer.  A booth will be set up during the Yulan Cultural Festival to promoting Yulan metaverse.

學術副校長兼社會學系陳蒨教授在2012年正式展開盂蘭勝會文化的研究，以新科技的方式展示及記錄這項非物質文化遺產，大眾不再只能從書本或報章上了解盂蘭資訊，現在只要在虛擬的空間，透過網頁或類似遊戲方式，便能輕鬆體驗及接觸盂蘭文化的習俗及儀式。盂蘭文化節2024即將舉行，陳教授的研究成果亦會參與其中，讓公眾透過電腦、VR眼鏡或手機穿梭時空，親身體驗虛擬實境盂蘭勝會導覽。
