This exhibition of Hong Kong children’s literature is partially supported by FDS (UGC/FDS15/H19/23). Many reading materials for children are beautifully illustrated and narrated with both words and pictures. But how do these elements work together? By displaying copies of picture book illustrations, magazines, and booklets, the exhibition will showcase the interactions between words and images in children's literature.

The exhibition will also organize a talk to address the enduring significance of Ho Tsz’s writings to Hong Kong children’s literature. The speakers will discuss topics such as adapting the text for contemporary young readers, revisiting the content, and enriching the stories with new illustrations.

Ho Tsz Mei– She is the Founder and Director of Boundless Literacy Foundation and the Chairman of Hong Kong Children’s Arts Society. She has dedicated many years to promoting a culture of publishing and reading culture. She is committed to carrying on her father Ho Tsz's legacy in children's literature. Her co-authored book A Collection of Interviews with People of Ho Tsz's Era won the 4th Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award.

Suki Yeung – A Hong Kong-based slasher who works as an illustrator, travel book writer, graphic designer, and author of historical picture books. She is known for being the author and illustrator of the historical picture book A Century of Hong Kong series. The series is collected in the University of Michigan Library and the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library at the University of Toronto.
