Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) has successful secured over HK$8.9 million in funding for 14 research projects through the Research Grants Council (RGC)’s 2025/2026 Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector (CRFS). Notably, HKSYU's application successful rate for the Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) stands at approximately 21.78 %, which is impressive. This year’s number of successful projects represents a record high in a single round since the inception of the CRFS.
14 research projects have been awarded funding through the Faculty Development Scheme (FDS). This remarkable achievement not only highlights the commitment of our faculty and researchers but also emphasizes HKSYU’s dedication to cultivating a dynamic research environment.
12 successful projects are grounded in the “Humanities and Social Sciences” discipline, perfectly aligning with the university's mission to promote digital humanities and reshape liberal arts education. 1 research project is based in the “Business Studies” discipline and another one is rooted in the “Engineering” discipline. This showcases our diverse development and innovative endeavours.
